The owner and creator of this park is an architect named Miguel Quintana Pali, who bought some lands to build his house in 1984, and while he was about to begin the cleaning preparations, he discovered several natural wonders, which he decided to share with the world. In a joint effort with the Constandse brothers, he built this popular nature park.
With so many options to choose from, it is normal that you don’t know where to begin. A good advice is that upon your arrive at the park, you get a map of the premises, in order to follow a predetermined route.
The excursion to the Xel-Há eco-park has an approximate duration of 10 hours for exploring natural settings, learning about the Maya culture, in addition to savoring delicious food, whenever you wish during the whole excursion. The park is open from 8:30 am through 6:00 pm.
We recommend that you bring a backpack with sunscreen, sunglasses, biodegradable mosquito repellent, and a hat. Additionally, it is important that you bring a swimsuit, towel, and comfortable clothing for a total enjoyment.
Both parks belong to Xcaret Group, and they are located in the state of Quintana roo, México. One of the main differences is their sized, being Xcaret park larger that Xel-Há.
Though Xcaret has more activities, their themes are very differente, as Xel-Há is focused on aquatic exploration and fun. Xel-Há stands out for its natural beauty, and one of its main attractions is its spectacular inlet, where you can practice snorkeling.
On the other hand, Xcaret began operations in 1990, and it boasts an outstanding location by the Caribbean Sea, with an assortment of cultural expressions and fascinating underground rivers.
